it isn’t like todd’s never smoked before or is completely against it—-he has when his friends offered, but he’s not exactly a huge fan of it or a regular smoker either, definitely not enough to carry around a lighter. “n–no, um…sorry.”
“FIGURES. it’s probably for the best. it’ll keep me from looking like a complete idiot. i’m the worst at smoking.” she’s opening up, narrating her thoughts. call her LOOSE LIPPED, but this kinda thing happens when she drinks.
"[She’s a] quirky girl who’s going to Dartmouth, not just the standard popular girl, which is what I really liked about the character and I think that’s part of what’s so great about John Green’s projects. He writes these dynamic characters. In the book there’s a line in the play from a poem that says, “I contain multitudes.” And it’s true no person is one-dimensional and is one thing or one way. There’s little parts of people that make you fall in love with them and some are kind of weird and some we might not like but that’s what makes them real and not just a stereotype."

❛Nononono no—— you have it ALL wrong. This isn’t a book based solely on its beautifully written action sequences, or the fact that the amount of people killed per chapter increases at an UNLIKELY rate. It’s about honor, & courage, & sacrifice & the importance of heroism ! ❜
❛beautifully written??there’s only so many ways to word he’s been shot. the longing of two lovers separated by a world that just doesn’t GET THEM though?? that doesn’t get old. i suppose i just don’t like war stories. they stress me out, like, where’s the fun in getting attached to characters just so they can die??❜
